Description:Young man with dark straight hair parted on his right stands casually ina waist-length frontal pose with his left arm resting on a column. Masonic stole with 11 stars and circular medallion worn over dark suit and tie with white shirt. Purple epaulette (with star?) visible on right shoulder.
History of Work: Restored in 2011 sponsored by Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 18.

The artist, Washington Bogart Cooper, was commissioned to paint most of the Grand Masters, which explains the approximate date of Claiborne's portrait.
