Description:Subject is seated, painted from waist up. Background is dark. Part of red chair back visible to left rear. Subject is wearing black dress with thin white collar. She is wearing a thin dangling chain around her nect. She has dark brown hair and hazel eyes and appears to be in her sixties.
History of Work:Margaret and Daniel Fenton Cocke lived in Sequatchie County. They sold their farm on Lookout Mountain and gave the money to the Confederacy. Following the Civil War they moved to Franklin, TN.
