Description:Frame is rectangular black-painted wood with oval copper bezel. A period piece, but probably not original. Acorn-motif clasp at top. Man with brown wavy hair combed forward to a forked point over a receding forehead. He wears a gold stickpin (?) on his white shirt and has on a dark blue coat and white vest.
History:On the back is a paper upon which is written in ink "This / belongs to/ James H. Ellison, / Waltham, / Mass / Picture of his grandfather / James Ellison of Boston Mass. / born in 1778 / died in 1820 / age 42 / years"
