Description:Bust-length of subject facing slightly left and looking over her right shoulder to the left of the viewer. Her hair is brown, short and curly, and parted on the left with a swoop of hair over her right forehead. She is wearing a navy v-necked dress with three buttons visible going down the diagonal from the neck. She wears no jewelry.
History of Work:This portrait was presented to the Morristown-Hamblen Library in subject's memory in 1987.
Notes:Meta Turley Goodson, Hamblen County Library Board Chairman 1947-1950. Miss Meta Turley Goodson was not only a Board member, but also a major contributor and supporter for the construction of the Morristown-Hamblen Library building which was completed and ribbon ceremony held in January 1969. The library is still in the same location today.
