Description:Bust length of seated young woman facing slightly left and looking at viewer with very blue eyes. She is wearing a dark off-the-shoulder dress, and her dark hair is parted in the middle and drawn up to an elaborate bun at the top of her head. The background is mottled brown, and the upholstered seat a teal color.

Notes:Born 1810 Died 1863. Malvina Chenault Grundy, daughter of Felix Grundy and Anne Phillips (Rogers) Grundy. Married John Meredith Bass of Davidson County, Tennessee in 1828. Buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Nashville. Great-great-grandmother of current owner.
