Description:Bust-length right profile of a man with short brown hair in a blue military jacket with a red trim. A gold epaulet with three stars is on his right shoulder. Work is mounted to a pink velvet-covered square and trimmed by gold braid on each side.
History:Artist is the subject's granddaughter. 
Restored by Cumberland Art Conservation in the 1980s.
Notes:See documentation in the file. Sitter born 10/1/1762 and died 1/31/1826. He was the father of James Guthrie, portrait #75.
