Description:Seated frontal view of two boys, ages approximately ten and fourteen, in matching attire. The older boy, Philip Owen, is holding a book in his lap and is wearing a blue vest. The younger, presumably William Giles Harding II, has his left arm around his half-brother's shoulder and is wearing a yellow vest. Both wear light colored pants, black jackets. and black ties. A colorful landscape is in the background.
History:Portrait previously belonged to Louise Bransford McGavock.
Notes:There is material in the file that tries to unravel the parentage of these boys, likely John Harding and Margaret Murphy Owen.
