Description:Three-quarter right oval of an seated woman with dark hair parted in the middle and falling below the ears before being gathered up in the back and in a coronet of braids across the top of her head. She is wearing pinch-on oval glasses and is looking slightly to the right. Her dark dress has a white stand-up lace collar, and the lace continues down the front of the bodice of the dress. The chair back is visible in the right of the portrait, and what appears to be her right hand resting on the chair arm is also visible on the left.
