Description: Oval miniature portrait of Mrs. Joseph H. Hough wearing a white dress and a black shawl, her brown hair falling in long ringlets around her face, and her gaze directed toward the viewer.

Notes: Born February 4, 1814 in Louisa County, Virginia. Died April 5, 1900 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was married to Joseph Hart Hough (1798-1844), owner of a stagecoach line in Nashville, and they had at least five children.

Subject is buried in The Nashville City Cemetery.
