Description:Head of the subject is turned to the left and he is dressed in a period coat, pleated white shirt, studs, and vest.
History of Work:Unknown – records of the painting are not on file in the Archives of the First Baptist Church.
Notes:During the Reverend Jones' tenure the membership greatly expanded, a number of additional Baptist Churches were formed in the city, the Sunday School ministry was enhanced, and an outreach program was established at the State Penitentiary. Prisoners were added to the roll of the Church. Additionally, The Ladies' Benevolent Association, a mission group, was established and begin "doing good works" throughout the community.
