Description:Subject is in a bright red academic gown with black stripes trimmed in gold. She is wearing a mortar board with the gold tassel hanging to her left over her short, brown, page-boy haircut. She holds what appears to be a diploma in both hands and has a ring on the ring finger of her left hand. The portrait shows the subject facing slightly right and in three-quarter-length view with her blue eyes turned to look directly at the viewer. The background is a variety of stippled colors with blue predominating over her left shoulder.
