Description:Knee-length seated frontal of a man in an olive green World War I uniform. He has light brown straight hair parted over his right eye. His eyes are light-colored. His left hand, with a ring, rests on the arm of the chair, and his right arm hangs to his side.
History:Artist was from NY.
Notes:Col. Luke Lea was a journalist. Owner is his daughter who wrote a book, Luke Lea of Tennessee, documenting his quite interesting life. A detail of this portrait is on the cover of the book.
