Description:Subject is facing viewer and looking slightly to viewer's left. Her dress is black, buttoned in the front with a high collar. Her hair is short and dark brown.
History of Work:Painted when subject was 18 years old. Painter unknown. Could have been the work of her sister Laura, a student at the time at Howard College. The painting has been "handed down" in the family.
Notes:Lillie A. Link, daughter of Frank L. and Louisa A. Garrison Link. Subject is grandmother of Walter T. Durham--State Historian of Tennessee.
