Description:Subject is seated on a chair with white-gloved hand holding another white glove as her her lower arm rests on the back of the chair. Her black fitted dress has a slightly off-shoulder, scooped neckline. Her face is roundish with her hair falling just below her ears. She is wearing a small black hat. She holds a book, possibly a Bible, on her lap. A vase of flowers rests on the table beside her. Shis is young, possibly in her 20s. She has blue eyes. Although she appears to be indoors. there is an outdoor scene behind her - perhaps a view outside a sun room.
History of Work:Anton Vorauer was an Australian artist who also painted her mother, Mrs. Ferdinand Powell, Portrait #584.
