Description:Knee-length standing of an older man with white hair dressed in a business suit, including a vest. His hat is in his right hand and his overcoat, black like his suit, is draped over his left arm. "W.B. Newman 1930" is written in the lower left corner.
History:
Notes:Starting as a grocery drummer, eventually the subject owned Noel (flour) Mills with his brother Edwin. At the turn of the 18th-19th century flour was Nashville's number one export. Subject is the owner's great-grandfather.
