Description:Three-quarters right profile of a young man with curly dark hair. His right in inserted into his black jacket “Naponleonic” -style. White shirt has high collar.
History of Work:This work is a copy of a deteriorated original by an unkown artist. It was featured in White House Brides.
Notes:Subject was the brother of Leonidas Polk and 1 of 10 children by two wives. He lived from 1802-1870 and built Hamilton Place.
