Description:An oval portait of two young children with the figure on the right in a scoop-necked top and slightly behind the one on the left. The reflection on the image makes detailed description difficult.
History of Work:
Notes: The young boy as a man was Col. Henry A. Ramsay, chief engineer on the "Merrimac" in the Civil War duel with the "Monitor." He was also with Adm. Perry when "the gates of Japan" were opened. Great-great-grandfather and great-great-aunt of the owner.
