Description:Oval bust-length portrait of a young woman with blonde curly shoulder-length hair. Subject has pink flower in hair and holds a pink rose. Sitter wears a pearl necklace. Subject has on a light blue off-shoulder dress. Mottled gray background.
History of Work:
Notes:Subject was born in Woodbury Tennessee and lived in Wartrace and Nashville. She was a composer (mostly notably, she wrote the Vanderbilt University Waltz) and pianist. Subject is owner's paternal grandmother.
