Description:Oval slightly right profile bust-length of a man with predominant wigs/tufts of brown hair rising around his ears. His hair is combed forward toward his high forhead. His eyes are light-colored and his eyebrows are noticeably bushy. He wears a white shirt, vest and tie with two buttons visible. His coat is black.

Probably painted in E. Tennessee where it was purchased at a Scruggs family estate sale.
