Description: Lady seated in striped upholstered chair facing three-quarter left and wearing a scoop-necked teal dress with white fabric around the neck, sleeve ends, and forming a belt. She is holding a red cloth bag in her right hand with the string tie to the bag in her upheld left hand. She is wearing what appears to be a gray wig with an ornamental bow matching her dress. She also has a large pearl earring in her visible right ear and a matching string around her neck. She is looking directly at the viewer.
History of Work: It was given to owner by her grandmother in 1980. On the back of the canvas is a #1 along with subject's name and "by WmCooper.
