His high-collared white shirt has a soft black tie at the neck and he is wearing a black coat buttoned high. His expression is a near-smile and he is looking toward the left.
  • Notes:Charles Johnson, son of President Andrew Johnson, oval, bust view. Charles Johnson was Surgeon during the Civil War, but was killed in 1863, when thrown from a horse. During this period of time, Andrew Johnson was Military Governor of The State of Tennessee.
