Notes:Subject was born in Berkeley County, Virginia where he was educated for the law. Emigrated to Northwest Tennessee at age 21 and settled at Lebanon, Ohio. Was successful attorney and later a distinguished judge, serving as Chief Justic of Ohio Supreme Count. Married Eliza Van Horne in 1808
