History:Commissioned by Cornelius Abernathy Craig, this hung at 405 Belle Meade Blvd. until 1986 when it was moved with Mrs. Henry . In 1990, upon the death of Mrs. Henry, it was moved to her grandson's. It was cleaned by Cumberland Art Conservation in 1990. A duplicate exists at the home of another descendant. C. A. Craig, the subject, commissioned two identical portraits--simultaneously, one for each of his children. One is now owned by his granddaughter and one by his great-grandson.
