  • Description:Three-quarter seated figure of seven-year-old girl in yellow dress she wore as a flower girl in her cousin's wedding (Nancy Hart Diehl Harvey) in Nashville. She has brown hair with bangs that are separated in front. She is looking at the viewer with the hint of a smile. The background is pink deepening to rose.
  • Notes:The yellow dress the subject is wearing was made from the peignoir set made by her great-grandmother, Fawn Parent Wilkerson, for her daughter's trousseau in 1953. The ruffles with feather-stitching on the peignoir and gown were used on the dress. The chair the subject is sitting on originally belonged to Tennessee Governor Robert Love Taylor. It was a part of his set of dining room chairs.
