  • Description:Pastel portrait of a blue-eyed, dark-haired gentleman with white cravat and black suit.
  • History:The artist was Dr. Logue's niece, as he was married to her aunt, Catherine Harkreader. Miss Harkreader painted many people in the family.
  • Notes:Dr. Logue married Catherine Harkreader 16 May 1846 at Old Union Methodist Church. Born 25 June 1818 in Wilson County Tennessee; died 17 October 1889 in Wilson County. Lived near Mt. Juliet on Stewart's Ferry and Corinth Road. Educated at the Louisville Medical Institute and graduated 1842. Buried at Suggs Creek Cemetery on Corinth Road. The owner of the portrait is the great-great-granddaughter of Dr. Logue and is the great-great niece of Catherine Harkreader Logue.
