  • Description:Hip-length partially seated man in a 3-piece (dark blue?) business suit with white shirt and burgundy tie. He has a white handkerchief in his left breast pocket. He has short brown hair and a well-groomed moustache. His left hand rests on the chair and his right arm rests on (the chair back?) allowing his right hand to drop casually. The work is signed in the lower left corner. The frame is decorated for the Christmas season, a tradition the owners keep.
  • Notes: Artist married Edward Potter in 1917. He founded Commerce Union Bank in Nashville at age 18 in 1916.
