History:Anton Vorauer was an Australian artist who came to Nashville to paint a Methodist bishop. Subject was born 1889; died June 18, 1970. She is mother of Anne Powell Lowe and Hortense Cooper (Mrs. Prentiss Cooper, widow of Governor of Tennessee and mother of Congressman Jim Cooper.) She lived in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was the granddaughter of Emily McGavock Hayes.
