History:Anne P. Lowe inherited from her mother, Margaret Hayes Powell (Mrs. Ferdinand Powell) of Johnson City, TN Emily was Margaret's grandmother. Emily was the daughter of Lysander and Elizabeth McGavock who built "Midway" now the centerpiece of Brentwood County Club. The McGavocks came to Brentwood from Max Meadows, VA.
