History:The portrait was painted by Don simmons in 1957 and presented to the Health Center in conjunction with the naming of the center by Mr. Dodson's family.
Notes:Subject was born in 1906 and owned an auto garage and wrecker service in Gallatin, Tennessee. Bought house on St. Blaise Lane and raised cattle, hogs, and tobacco. Married Billie C. Henderson in 1942. In 1954 they moved to Springfield, Tennessee and purchased Springfield Grain & Feed Company. In 1960s he opened Model Tractor Company. He had one son and one daughter and died in 1982.
