  • Description:Waist-length three-quarter right profile of a man in Revolutionary War uniform. Jacket is blue with red and gold trim and epaulets. He has silver straight hair that comes to his jawline and his eyes are blue.
  • History:This is a copy of miniature--artist unknown-- painted about 1775. A cousin of the owner has this original work.
  • Notes:Sitter was an immigrant to Virginia in 1746 and was a Lt. Colonel in the Virginia Militia in 1774.
