Description:Oval of a young woman in a low-cut black dress with black lace trimming the edge of the bodice. Her dark hair is parted in the middle and swoops down, covering her ears. She is looking directly at the viewer.
History:Original painting was cut down to present size in 1960s. Frame was new then.
Notes:Subject was born in 1831 and died after 1872. She is the great-grandmother of the current owner.
