  • Description:Oval waist-length of a mand with dark hair parted on his right side. He is clean-shaven and his right profile is featured. His jawline is strong and he has a hollow in his right cheek. He wears a black coat, vest, and neck scarf with a high-collared white shirt. A red chair back is visible at his left shoulder.
  • History:This work is a copy. The original is presumably in Nashville.
  • Notes:The subject moved from NC to TN at an early age. His family always held a high social position. He married Margaret Phillips. They had 14 children, one of whom was Mary Thomas Williams who married James Cartwright Warner. He was the father of Percy and Edwin Warner. See file for more info. on J. C. Warner.
