Notes:Robert Morris Boyers was the son of Matthew Boyers, born in Ireland. Robert was born in York District, SC, July 18, 1788. In 1810, the family moved to Gallatin, Tn where Robert became a successful merchant and in 1815 built a warehouse on the Cumberland to ship and receive waterborn cargo. He married Elizabeth Banks in 1817.
