  • Notes:Sabina Metcalfe Shackelford [born: 16 May 1814] is the daughter of Colonel William Stamps Shackelford Sr. and his wife, Sabina Metcalfe. She married her cousin James Orville Shackelford. Colonel William Stamps Shackelford Sr. is the son of James B. Shackelford and his second wife, Mary Stamps. Sabina Metcalfe [wife of Colonel Shackelford] is the daughter of Charles Metcalfe and his first wife, believed to be Elizabeth Wright. Charles Metcalfe is the eldest son of Captain John Metcalfe and his first wife, Sabina Farrow. Governor Thomas Metcalfe of Kentucky is the son of Captain John Metcalfe and his third wife, Rhoda Dent. Richard Chilton Metcalfe Jr. (the provider of this genealogical information) is a descendant of John Metcalfe Jr. and his wife, Amelia Shackelford. John is the younger brother of Charles Metcalfe [as mentioned above] and Amelia [his wife] is the sister of Colonel William Stamps Shackelford Sr.
