Charles Metcalfe is the eldest son of Captain John Metcalfe and his first wife, Sabina Farrow. Governor Thomas Metcalfe of Kentucky is the son of Captain John Metcalfe and his third wife, Rhoda Dent. Richard Chilton Metcalfe Jr. (the provider of this genealogical information) is a descendant of John Metcalfe Jr. and his wife, Amelia Shackelford.
