  • History:This portrait was painted by Evelyn Singer Williams in 1978. This painting was done as a demo in a local portrait class that I attended. Evelyn taught art classes in the seventies and eighties in Hendersonville, TN and was a well known artist in the area. Evelyn studied under Henry Hensche and Robert Brackman. She was known for portraits and still life in oil and soft pastels. She painted in the impressionist style.
  • Notes:I was a student of Evelyn and this is the only painting I own (although there are many examples around) This included photo was enhanced using AI to remove reflections in the photo but is an accurate representation of the original. Here is hoping more paintings of Evelyn's can be discovered.
