This painting has a companion, "Uncle Willie," of a boy who must be a relative but who is without a known history.
  • Notes:Jane Ella Perkins was the daughter of Samuel Fearn Perkins of "Westview" in Williamson County. She married William Bailey, a physician in Nashville, and he (William) was the son of James Edmund Bailey of Clarksville, who was the Colonel of the Tennessee 49th, an attorney, and a senator from Tennessee. So, while this portrait and its companion are located outside of Tennessee, they both have a real Tennessee pedigree.
