History:Others have copies of this silhouette, at least five in number, and no one is certain who has the original.
Notes:Many members of the Bass family are buried in a large lot in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Nashville. This lot overlooks the front part of the cemetery, and all Bass descendents are eligible to be buried there. Older members of the Bass family were originally buried in the City Cemetery and then moved. Malvina Grundy Bass's father, Felix Grundy, was originally buried in the City Cemetery but then was moved to Mt. Olivet. The Grundy graves are in another part of Mt. Olivet.
