  • History:Armin Stock lived in St. Louis, Missouri. He painted portraits of many Nashvillians. He drove to the customer's home in 1963 and took many photographs. The finished portrait was delivered in 1965.
  • Notes:The dress worn by the girl in the portrait featured a bodice covered with tiny rows of lace. Mr. Stock didn't think he could properly reproduce this detail in oil, so asked if it was alright to make the bodice solid like the dress' skirt. Torrential rains were falling the day he arrived to take photographs. The customer's garage was opened and he parked there so he wouldn't ruin his photography equipment.
