  • Description:Oval miniature of a young woman in a bridal gown and veil. Her medium brown hair is in curls on top of her head, and her lips are red, her eyes blue. She has her arms crossed on a small elaborately carved end table, and they are covered with her lace (?) train. The background is light blue. The work is set in a Moroccan red leather case that unfolds with the look of a triptych.
  • History:Probably painted in Boston, this work also came from Elmwood/Elm Hill.
  • Notes:Subject is owner's mother and married to become Mrs. Frank A. Berry Sr., founder of Bass, Berry & Sims law firm in Nashville.
