Notes:Bonnie Scotland was foaled in 1853 in Malton, England. He was by Iago out of Green Mary by Gladiator. He was a blood bay stallion with a small white star on his forehead. He stood 16 hands high. Mr. William F. Anson of Spring cottage in Malton., England bred and originally owned Bonnie Scotland. Bonnie Scotland was imported into the U.S. in 1857. He was bought by General Harding on June 21, 1872 from Mr. Parks. General Harding was looking for a quality horse to replace Vandal as head stud at the farm. Bonnie Scotland sired many winners, including Luke Blackburn, George Kinney, Belle of the Meade, and Bramble. Bonnie Scotland died in 1880. Location: Farm Office
