  • Description:Oval of a young woman with wavy dark red/brown hair and a curl in the middle of her forehead. Three-quarters right profile reveals large eyes and chin cleft. She wears a low, square-cut lace dress and a locket which falls between her breasts.
  • Notes:Subject was the wife of Michel Douradou, whom she married when she was 14. She was the mother of Nanine Bringier Kenner. The great-great-grandson of Aglae DuBourg Bringier reports that her uncle, the Bishop DuBourg, was the first Bishop of Louisiana. Her husband's father, Marius Pons Bringier came from France to Louisiana in 1780.
