History:This copy of Guido Reni's Beautiful Parricide was brought back from Europe in 1851 by Randal W. McGavock of Nashville. McGavock was later a Mayor of Nashville and he died during the Civil War where he was serving in the Confederate Army. It was bought November 17, 1851 in Rome, Italy.
