History:Subject is a young woman facing the viewer wearing white with a small brooch. She has dark hair and eyes and her hair is parted in the middle and pulled back over her ears. The frame and the portrait are considered to be in excellent condition. The portrait is signed by the artist.
Notes:Mary Perkins Claybrook was the daughter of Samuel and Sallie Perkins. She became the wife of John S. Claybrook, a Williamson County landowner and early Tennessee railroader April 24, 1834 and together they had ten children. She died November 10, 1863.
