  • Description:Bust-length of young curly-haired girl facing straight ahead and looking at viewer. Her off-the-shoulder top has a filmy lace ruffle, and her expression is very serious.
  • History:Self-portrait painted from photograph of subject at age 2. Painted a the artist's home at 511 East Main Street in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
  • Notes:Lived from 1872-1954 in Murfreesboro. Daughter of Murfressboro Mayor, Ingram Balanker Collier III and wife Louisian Jones Collier. Carmine Collier became known as the wealthiest woman in Murfreesboro.
