  • Description:Four people in the portrait with older couple in front looking to viewer's right. The couple in the rear looking to viewer's left.
  • Notes:Frank Pierce, born October 1844, is on the lower right with moustache and beard and is the father. Hanna Lytle Pierce, front row left, is the mother. Their two children are in the rear. Sarah Elizabeth Pierce is on right rear and Albert Pierce on left rear. The Pierce family was from Monongahela, Pennsyvania. Hanna Lytle Pierce was a sister of the mother of Fitzgerald family of Gallatin, Tennessee in the 1880s, formerly of Pennsylvania. Sarah Elizabeth Pierce was married to Harry Franklin of Gallatin, Tennessee. The portrait was bought at the sale of the Old Rock House located at the corner of Coles Ferry Road and East Eastland Street in Gallatin, Tennessee.
