Description:Seated view of young woman seated on a red chair (barely visible) wearing a dark green dress with a lace pinafore. She is turned slightly to her right.
History:Painting was in a tornado in 1974. Owner has pictures showing destruction. Restored within 6 mos. by Sandor Bodo. Assumed to be same artist as painted her husband Bolling Gordon that same year (1842). On the canvas back is noted "Maker F. Hegan Louisville" but this appears to be the canvas maker not the artist who painted the work.
