Description:Older African-American man seated in a wooden chair. Full-length composition reveals brim hat with wide band, dark suit coat, red vest, white shirt, blue striped pantd and gray-black shoes. Overtop he is wearing a white apron. His hands are clasped in his lap.
History:Donated to Travellers Rest by Jacob McGavock Dickinson, great grandson of Judge Overton and owner of Travellers Rest from 1929-1948.
