Description:Apparent life-size bust portrait of child in lace dress wearing pearl necklace, created from life by subject's mother. Artist is a cousin of the W.B. Cooper brothers. Great detail in portrait and unusual raised and embossed paper and board matting to elevate original glass from artwork. Additional velvet trim on exterior side of glass.
History:Portrait was passed from the subject to Sarah Geistmas Dickson (Mrs. John R.)(cousin) in 1972 then to her daughter, current owner, in 1987. Continual family ownership hanging in the family homes.
