  • Description:Three-quarter length view of subject seated in an armchair and turned on the seat of the chair to face three-quarter left. She is weating a low-cut pink gown with short puffed sleeves, and her left arm rests on the chair arm and hangs over the end. Her right hand rests in her lap; she has rings on the ring-finger of both hands; and she is wearing what appear to be drop pearl earrings. Her hair is dark and pulled straight back from her face. She is smiling and looking directly at the viewer.

  • Notes:Born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, she was a daughter of James Dudley McKelley and Lutie Jameson Osborn. Elected President General of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1983. She married Walter Hughey King.
