History:The work was given to the owner by Sheffield Clark, a descendant of John McAlister II. Sandor Bodo repaired smoke damage.
Notes:John McAlister II, son of John and Frances (Dysart) McAlister, was born in Taneytown, Maryland, in 1776. On December 25, 1800, he married the Widow Frances Aiken Thompson in Jonesborough, Tennessee. His will was probated in Williamson County, Tennessee, at the July Term 1827.
